Step Table

Steps are stored in MMC120 memory. There are eight 16 bit words per Step (6 for the command and 2 for the

link). The table has a maximum length of 2048 words (8 x 256).

The table is not necessarily 2048 words long. It is only long enough to hold all the steps up to the highest Step

number used. If the highest Step number used is 49 then only 400 words of memory will be used [(49 x 8) + 8].
